Empress
18 INCH ARM -   The Empress has an 18" arm which allows you to quilt the 12" block at the bottom row of a king size quilt with ease.  Having the optimal 18 inches of quilt space allows you to quilt, larger quilt patterns without having to roll your quilt as often from start to finish.
Your Empress machine has a rocker switch for turning on the STITCH REGULATED and SPEED REGULATED modes.

Rock the switch to the right and you will be in stitch regulated idle mode.  Here your Empress's needle will move up and down in a slow motion and once you start to move the machine, then the needle will speed up and slow down to keep the stitches regulated.  Your stitch length is determined by the knob above the rocker stitch, being more or less stitches per inch.

Rock the switch to the left and you will be in speed regulated mode.  In this mode the machine is going to stitch at the speed you have your motor set at.  The speed is regulated by the knob above the rocker switch, your stitch length in this mode is determined by the speed in which you move the machine.

The rocker switch to the left is the AUTO NEEDLE POSSITIONER and it allows the machine to stop in either the needle up or down position.  It minimizes bending or breaking needles and allows for free movement of machine.  You can start quilting from either position.

LARGE BOBBIN CAPACITY and BUILT IN BOBBIN WINDER.   The bobbin has more than double the capacity of the standard sewing machines, which helps in not changing bobbins as often with standard home quilting machines.

The Empress machine includes a built in bobbin winder.  You can wind a bobbin while you quilt or move the machine to the side and wind bobbins before you get started.

HOPPING FOOT - The hopping foot on your Empress holds down the fabric while the needle completes the stitch.  The foot height can be adjusted up and down for thickness of batting or material.  The foot also allows for stitching next to rulers and templates.

LASER LIGHT - The Laser Light with 4 sample paper patterns included, simplifies following patterns when operating from the back of the Empress machine.  Laser mounts on the deck of the machine for optimal use.   Ergonomic handles can be moved to the back side of the machine or easier use.

ERGONOMIC HANDLES - They adjust up and down to minimize the risk of carpal tunnel injuries.  They allow or ease of operation and a reduction of fatigue in the wrists, arms, and shoulders.  There is comfortable rubber on the handles for a great feel.

ADJUSTABLE LIGHT - The light is mounted on your Empress machine and is adjustable for your convenience.  Lighting floods the work area, so you can see every stitch, every detail.

FRAME -  The wood frame for the Empress was designed with the home quilter in mind.  It is made of 13 ply laminated Baltic Birch wood, of the highest quality and strength.  Easy assembly allows for the quilter to quilt from a table runner up to a king size quilt.  The Empress mounts on a easy carry deck that glides as if it was floating on air.  This allows for ease of quilting.  Frame uses 1 1/4" EMT conduit pipe which is not included.   You can set this frame up at four different lengths from 51/2 feet to 10 feet.   Frame depth: 39 1/2 inches and you need to add 8' for maximum machine mobility.  Please call for additional information about the medal frame.
